It’s that time of year again…winter’s not quite over, and spring isn’t quite here. And it’s got us feeling a little grey. However, it’s the perfect time to start planning your nursery décor for all those expected spring babies. Our Stardust print is one of our originals, and one of our favorites. So we picked out our favorite nurseries that pair perfectly with our Classic Stardust Grey Print to give you a little inspiration.
1. Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star
Why We Love It: This is for the true stargazer. Small starry details make the perfect minimalist nursery. The grey and white color scheme still give the space that night time feel, but are simple, soothing, and sweet.
What You Need:
-
Simple accent wall: These little star and window wall decals or these moon and star wall stickers are the perfect way to add a little interest to any wall in the room. We also love theses falling star decals.
-
Starry Mobile: this grey ombre star mobile from Etsy is beautiful. This felt moon and stars mobile is also one of our favorites. Remember: a mobile doesn’t always have to be hung over the crib. Consider hanging one of these starry mobiles over your rocker or changing table instead.
-
This cute piece of wall art: twinkle, twinkle little star…do you know how loved you are?
2. Counting Constellations
Why We Love It: Talk about bold. Using a dark grey or navy on at least one wall and adding interest with the lines of the stunning constellations gives the room a dreamy look.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
-
The Constellations: Young House Love shows you here how to create the constellations on an accent wall with a ruler and a paint pen. If you’re looking for something a little less bold, consider hanging this constellations wall tapestry or these abstract paintings
-
Lighting: With a dark accent wall, be sure to have enough lights in the room to brighten it up. This star gazer lamp shade from PB Kids is super cute, or you could try this DIY and make one yourself! And these Constellation Pendant Lamps are little industrial, but look surprisingly amazing in a nursery.
-
This whale constellation wall art- adorable.
3. Shine Bright
Why We Love It: These nurseries put some sweetness and light into the room with softer colors and a little extra shine. They’re a little bolder and brighter, but still classic and neutral.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
-
Light Walls: a light grey or cream color on the walls will brighten up the space while still keeping in neutral
-
Big Stars: Unlike the Twinkle Twinkle Litte Star nursery, here you want to make a statement with big, bold stars on the walls. You could get really fun and add these metallic vinyl wall stickers, or go with this more classic look.
-
One (or two, or three) of these Metallic Stars Baby Blanket from Pottery Barn Kids
4. The Night Sky
Why We Love It: A night sky nursery brings in all the elements of the real night sky- the stars, the moon, the planets – and turns them into an out-of-this-world design with pops of yellow and bright colors.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
-
The Moon: This moon lamp, paired with an animal wall sticker or even a stuffed animal at the base is adorable. Or you could go with this paper mache light up crescent moon for a different look. But this moon bassinet is our absolute favorite.
-
The Stars: Any of the star wall decals from the Twinkle Twinkle Little Star nursery will work here to. OR you could crank it up a notch and buy a galaxy star projector to bring “real” stars right into the room.
-
These sweet and snugly moon, cloud, and star pillow set from Etsy.
Last But Not Least….
Pick out your favorite Stardust Zen Swaddle or Zen Sack – either pink, blue, or grey – to match with your new Stardust inspired nursery. Can anyone say “insta-worthy?”
