May the Force Be With You Nursery

Happy Star Wars Day!

May the Fourth be with you!

If you’re expecting your little one to become the next Luke Skywalker, then you better create a nursery fit for a Jedi Master. You already know how to become a ZEN Master by using the innovative Zen Swaddle…but if you’re looking for some inspiration on this “Star Wars Holiday,” we’re here to help. Here’s some of the coolest Star Wars themed nurseries & what you need to create them.

An Instant Classic

What’s more recognizable than the classic Star Wars logo? This dad used all the classic props from the film to create this cool space – light sabers, R2D2, and even a Wampa. You can get those light saber night lights (genius!) here,  and the Wampa rug here.

The giant logo is the focal point of this room though. Here’s another example.

As for R2D2, you can find some really cool wall art from Etsy, but my favorites are this simple printable poster, and this alternative watercolor print.

Another great idea: get any Navy glider or rocker and put this handmade R2D2 quilt on it. OR if you’re really crafty, you could transform your changing table into the robot.

The Dark Side

If you’re more of a Darth Vader fan then this is the nursery for you. It’s super simple – white/crème walls with black furniture and Darth Vader and Storm Trooper accessories. The Yoda quote on the wall is perfect too: “Truly wonderful the mind of a child is.” That’s definitely an essential, whether you’re a member of the dark side or the light! You can order the wall decal from Etsy.

Here’s some of our other favorites from the Dark Side.

This print even has a nursery feel.

Yeah, this isn’t really nursery décor, but you need it.

This Death Star print is a must have.

You might think about switching sides with this clever light switch.

Super Subtle

This gender-neutral Star Wars nursery is perfect -it’s just enough to get your inner fan excited, but it’s not overwhelming. By pairing really cute star wars toys and prints with simple stars and light colors, this room looks bright and is very baby-friendly.

Our favorite part of the room is the super cute mobile, cleverly made with Hallmark Gold Crown Star Wars Itty Bitties and some safety pins. This mama made a lot of the other things in this nursery too, like the Star Wars art print, vinyl stars, and the sun and moon garland, with simple DIYs you can read more about on Apartment Therapy.

If you were thinking that a Star Wars nursery had to be dark and scary, this nursery proves you wrong. There’s a lot of baby-friendly Star Wars stuff out there, like this AT-AT rug, cartoon character prints, and abstract character silhouettes.

For the Future Princess

Another common misconception: Star Wars is for boys. I think Rey really threw that theory out in one of the most recent Star Wars stories. If you’d like to make your Star Wars nursery a little more feminine, check out these fun cartoon-style canvases featuring Princess Leia and AT-AT’s adorned with bows. SO cute and the perfect touch to any little girls room. So are these pink and grey C3PO, R2D2, and BB8 prints!

And nothing’s more perfect for a Princess/Master Jedi than a Stardust Pink Zen Swaddle. Let he master her Zen with the gently weighted parts on the chest and sides that will have her sleeping peacefully.

Other Necessities

AT-AT bookends.

Star Wars themed storage. Clever.

Shaped Decorative Pillows. Did I mention they’re on sale?

Make Yoda Proud: Master the art of Sleep

Even Jedi Masters need their sleep! Teach them the ways with the Stardust Zen Swaddle in Blue, Grey, or Pink!
